It has been a very busy week at NP HQ so we will keep this short but sweet! There are lots of ways to ‘naturally pamper’ yourself, not just with beauty products but household and cleaning products.
This blog will show you how to make your own fabric softener - easy to make, low cost and totally customisable, this fabric softener will leave your laundry soft and smelling lovely. Adding different essential oils will make this completely personalised to you.
The bicarbonate of soda will naturally make whites whiter and pull out even the toughest of stains. Being an alkaline substance it can neutralise the acid in stains. It is also environmentally friendly and perfect for people who have sensitive skin. As an extra bonus it won’t harm fragile fabrics and it is a brilliant odour remover to get rid of smells – rather than just cover them up.
Ingredients:
200g Epsom Salt
50g Bicarbonate of Soda
35 drops of your favourite essential oil or blend of oils
A large jar
Mix together the Epsom Salt with your chosen essential oil in your jar
Mix thoroughly.
Add the Bicarbonate of Soda.
Mix thoroughly
Secure the cap tightly.
Use 2-3 tablespoons per each load of washing.
